Editor’s Picks 12/24: Bears Win, But…

STAYING ALIVE: The Bears beat the Cardinals Sunday 28-13 (highlights via NFL.com) and kept their playoff hopes alive. A win next week at Detroit, and a Vikings’ loss to the Packers (in Minnesota) and the Bears are in. As Lovie Smith gracefully put it after the game: “I’ve always been a big Packers fan” (Sun-Times). Melissa Isaackson at ESPN Chicago says the Bears’ glimmer of hope not very hopeful, and David Haugh in the Trib thinks the Bears’ victory proves nothing. At the very least, Brandon Marshall had another nice game, and set the Bears’ single season mark for receiving yards (SB Nation). Charles Tillman also returned a pick to the house, adding another highlight to his stellar season. In other news…
